The motoring law is a law affecting the use
of vehicles on public roads. It covers the
licensing of vehicles and drivers, and the
criminal offences that can be committed by
the owners and drivers of vehicles. In
Britain, all vehicles are subject to road tax
and (when over a certain age) to an annual
safety check (MOT test). Anyone driving on a
public road must have a valid driving licence
for a certain type of vehicle that he/she is
driving.
